I am looking for a person who is willing to take my apartment lease starting at the month of February till the end of May of 2017. I am currently paying $800 per month plus a separate electric bill (provider is DTE energy), but I am willing to negotiate for the sublet. The apartment is located on the 18th floor of the apartment complex called University Towers located in 536 S Forest Ave, Ann Arbor, MI 48104. The location is very convenient as it is at the heart of the city of Ann Arbor, specifically located at corner between S Forest Ave and the buzzing South University Street, where you will find lots of restaurants and shops. The Central Campus main bus station (CC Little), the Central Campus Recreational Center (CCRB), and the University's central campus libraries are located within a 3 to 5 minutes walking distance from the apartment. The Michigan Union and the Nichols Arboretum are located within a 5 to 7 minutes walking distance. Downtown Ann Arbor is located within a 10 to 15 minutes walking distance. The apartment complex has its own 24 hour gym, an outdoor pool (open in Spring and Summer time only), a laundry room (coin machine included in the building), studying areas, a microwave, and a free Starbucks coffee, hot chocolate, and hot tea brewing machine. There are free rentals for shopping carts to carry large amounts of groceries into your apartment, as well as free vacuum rentals. Additionally, there is a 24 hour front desk service at the lobby. Despite being located at heart of Ann Arbor, the apartment itself feels very quiet as it is located on the 18th floor (there are 19 floors in total). Going up the elevator is hardly an issue as there are 3 functional elevators that run fast. Additionally, you will get a great view of city of Ann Arbor. The apartment itself is a single bedroom apartment with two queen size beds for a maximum of 2 occupants. There is already a male roommate living there. The apartment also has a single bathroom with two sinks, a toilet, and a shower (no tub). The living room, kitchen, and dining space are all connected in a single room. The apartment is fully furnished with lamps, a sofa, an armchair, studying desks and chairs, kitchen appliances (a refrigerator, a stove, an oven, and a range hood), and two air conditioners (currently winterized, but probable to accommodate for special needs). The apartment includes free kitchenware, trash cans, hangers, a mechanical fan, and a 32'' flat screen TV, all which came out of my roommate's and my personal expenses. There is also free WiFi. The apartment is smoke-free, and pets are not allowed. If you own a vehicle, and are interested in parking space, there are two locations for the parking lot nearby. One is the Church Street Parking Structure located in 525 Church Street, which is in the same block as the apartment complex. This parking lot, however, is exclusively for students and staff associated with the University. The other parking lot is the Forest Avenue Parking Structure located in 1001 S Forest Ave, a block away from the apartment complex. This is one of the many city-owned parking lots. For rates, availability, more information about parking, I recommend calling the Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority (DDA) at (734) 994-6697.Overall, the apartment is extremely convenient for U of M students and staff, but it is not exclusive to other types of residents who are looking for a place to live in Ann Arbor. The apartment is open to have anyone regardless of his/her age, disabilities, economic background, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, or religion for move in. For more information, feel free to contact me at my phone number or email address, or you can also contact University Towers itself at (734) 761-2680.
