Preferred QualificationsPrevious work or volunteer experience in event planning or with a nonprofitStrong communication and writing skills (please provide writing samples)High energy, personable and comfortable with public speakingAbility to work well in fast-paced environmentAttention to detail and highly organizedComfort with a 40+ hour work week (some evenings and weekends required)Job SummaryThe Volunteer Engagement Intern supports the Volunteer Engagement & Giving team with their efforts to leverage the power of our 30,000 team members to invest in the growth and resiliency of our home communities: Detroit, Cleveland, Phoenix and Charlotte. This intern assists with communication strategy between community partners and the Rock Family of Companies. Whether it's from the office or on-site, this team member also provides support for our various volunteer events and community initiatives.ResponsibilitiesAssist with the creation of volunteer opportunities on the internal Community Hub websiteCoordinate transportation, catering and facilities for eventsManage program supplies, swag orders and distributionMaintain communication timelines and provide office and on-site support for National Neighborhoods WeekAssist the Program Manager of Giving with coordinating the Quicken Loans Community ChallengeCollaborate with team members to provide giving guidelines and manage fundraiser requestsServe as the on-site contact for various volunteer opportunities, including intern volunteer program events with Summer in the CityWho We AreThe Quicken Loans Community Fund drives the Rock Family of Companies "For-More-Than-Profit" work by strategically investing in our home cities of Detroit, Cleveland, Charlotte and Phoenix.
