2021 Sales Leadership Summer InternSchedule 40hrs/week // May 24 - July 30, 2021 While hundreds of 2020 internships were canceled due to COVID-19, Advance Auto Parts was able to keep our commitment, quickly adapt, and realign to a completely virtual intern program for all of our interns! We are targeting for an onsite internship experience, however will be prepared as we were in 2020 to realign to virtual if needed. Join us in 2021 at one of 24 designated intern locations to experience our best in class internship program that provides the opportunity to get involved, collaborate, contribute, and truly experience the corporate business world through the Advance Auto Parts lens.Position Overview:Advance Auto Parts isnt just your local auto parts store. We are a fortune 500 company with a deep understanding of the importance of providing a best in class summer internship program. We are always looking for ways to better our strategies and broaden our horizons; which is why we are excited to build a diverse team of 80+ interns across the country. Advance Auto Parts offers a 10 week paid internship that hands on experience in retail and B2B sales, customer service, inventory management, ultimately a focus on leadership.Another component of the internship is being paired with an experienced mentor who will help guide your experience as you move through a series of rotations focused on learning different aspects of Advanced Auto Parts business. This isnt a job shadow opportunity, this internship is the chance to get involved, contribute and truly experience being part of a great team. Youll also have the opportunity to:Immerse yourself in the organization through hands-on work experience with a focus on leadershipGain understanding of dynamics of the retail sectorUnderstand a store PProvide best in class customer service to DIY and professional customersUnderstand inventory management and in store merchandisingLearn how to analyze data and leverage selling tools to grow sales and profitDevelop leadership and influencing skillsPartner with a seasoned Mentor during program and beyond Additional Internship Program Details:Weekly Lunch & Learns with our Senior Executives (including CEO)Various trainings throughout program that include Diversity & Inclusion Training, Career Pathing, Resume Workshop and moreCollaborate and partner with a large intern network and other Team members across various areas of our companyFinal project presentation to our leaders at end of program In order to be successful as an AAP Sales Leadership Intern, you must possess strong interpersonal, planning and organizational skills along with a strong sense of commitment.You must have a desire for continuous improvement and take initiative in your personal development and job responsibilities.
