Minimum Qualifications

• Actively pursuing or recently earned a bachelor's degree in information technology, human-computer interaction (HCI), user experience, design, research or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Foundational experience and coursework in UX disciplines, including information architecture, UX architecture, UX research, interaction design or human factors

• Functional knowledge in research activities such as user testing, interviews, surveys and competitive analysis

• Familiarity with Agile working environments and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams

• Knowledge of common wireframing and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Invision or Figma

• Understanding of basic HTML/CSS

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word

Job Summary

The UX Strategy Intern works closely with designers, developers, writers and product team members across the Rock Family of Companies to contribute user research and create a products UX architecture through artifacts like wireframes, site maps and user flows. Applications should include a resume and/or LinkedIn profile as well as a portfolio displaying your work, including relevant coursework.

Responsibilities

• Assist with facilitating design thinking and stakeholder workshops

• Assist with developing user flows, wireframes and low-fidelity prototypes for rapid, iterative user interface definition and improvement

• Assist with developing information architecture, site maps and taxonomy backed by client data and behavior

• Conduct UX research under the guidance of senior UX strategists and present actionable recommendations and artifacts to business stakeholders based on a strategic analysis of the data

• Use primary and secondary research sources to understand consumer needs to build upon strategic product recommendations

• Assist with presenting UX recommendations clearly with high-quality artifacts to drive conversations between product managers, business stakeholders, writers, designers, and developers

• Develop a foundational knowledge of business success drivers, industry, and regulatory trends

• Understanding of website analytics and tools such as Google or Adobe Analytics
