OVERVIEW
We are looking for an innovative, self-directed Business Metrics Intern (20 hours/week, year-round) to support the execution of Urban Science s global client satisfaction survey (based on the Net Promoter Score methodology), as well as produce analytics and provide recommendations related to survey results. This role will support global teams to ensure processes are followed, and act as the point of contact for all client NPS process related questions. There will also be opportunities to work on industry issues and engage in challenging client management projects. As a result, the right candidate will develop business acumen, communication and leadership skills - all while gaining real world experience with analytical applications.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Actively participate in Urban Science s intern program, attending networking and social activities with over 20 other interns from groups such as IT, Finance, Software Development, and client teams. Attend lunch-n-learns with business leaders, and other unique opportunities to learn about the broader business and useful career enhancing topics.
- Provide support to Metrics Process Manager to analyze results, identify high level trends to help offices determine actions, and create action plans.
- Prepare result presentations and participate in reporting meetings, as well as subsequent improvement planning workshops.
- Assist with monitoring ongoing office action improvement plans throughout the year and incorporate into the company best practices action planning tool
- Compare previous survey respondent data to current survey data to determine the effectiveness of ongoing action plans.
- Set up the company client NPS forecast sheets, work with offices to ensure forecast is complete, and roll-up forecast.
- Contribute to special projects such as ad hoc research projects, survey projects & analysis.

- Solid technical proficiency including demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong statistical background highly desirable
- Background on working with and manipulating business objects applications highly desirable
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Currently pursuing a Baccalaureate degree in MIS, Computer Science, or Analytics from an accredited U.S. college or university, equivalent foreign institution, or equivalent experience.
