Minimum Qualifications

• Time spent working toward a degree in MIS, IT or another related field
• Working knowledge of SQL
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel
• Ability to interact with cross-functional and quality improvement teams at every level of the organization
• Strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated process improvement skills
• Proactive work style and a desire to take on additional responsibilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS as well as relational and non-relational databases
• Strong analytical skills as well as hands-on experience with data-related issue analysis and development of solutions to resolve data quality issues

Responsibilities

• Assist in building out the metadata repository
• Map and understand the data landscape
• Investigate the lineage of data and understand how it moves throughout the organization
• Take part in or own team projects
• Create and manage lists of data shares/traceability
• Create and manage lists of systems supporting data domain
• Provide explanations of data processes and information systems
• Review materials created by stewards or the governance office to confirm their technical validity
• Provide transparency on data architectures and database schemas
• Help in the technical resolution of issues
