GENERAL SUMMARY
DeMaria is currently seeking a part-time Marketing Intern. This position is currently remote due to COVID-19 but will be based out of our office in Novi, MI. This individual will assist with the development of marketing communication tools, proposals and content support for the company. Our Marketing Intern will collaborate with leadership, and members of the marketing team to ensure that each project receives the resources and attention needed to be successful.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team on project deliverables and timelines
- Execute and prioritize project tasks efficiently and accurately
- Assist in the preparation of proposal responses, bids and credentials packages, coordinating with various internal/external resources to gather input to adequately package the response per the request of the client
- Assist with gathering information to edit/update website content such as project profiles and news
- Assist with updating information in our project database
- Update communications on internal intranet
- Assist with drafting press releases and other marketing copy
- Research media coverage, industry trends, and other topics as needed
- Assist with gathering content for social media and analyze success of various posts
- Assist with the coordination of events related to trade shows, conferences, golf outings, etc.
- General office administration support
- Provide assistance with the standardization of procedures, templates and forms
REQUIREMENTS
- Ensure all team members, including self, are consistently following DeMaria Building Company (DBC) policies and procedures as outlined in the employee manual
- Attend pre-bid meetings to represent DBC and familiarize one with the site conditions and determine project scope and required contents of estimate.
- Coordinate and maintain solicitation of DBC approved subcontractors/vendors for each assigned project bidding.
- Coordinate and assure the proper distribution of electronic documentation to subcontractors and vendors.
- Prepare consistent and accurate estimates following DeMaria processes and procedures.
- Coordinate and or Prepare bid schedules based on the scope of work and contract specifications when applicable.
- Review subcontract and vendor proposals for the scope of work and competitiveness during the bid process.
- Mentor, motivate and develop Cost Engineers towards a successful career with DBC by teaching utilizing their skills during the bid process.
- Develop and maintain good client relationships with Owners, Engineers, and Architects for expanded or new work opportunities.
- Develop and maintain positive and trustworthy relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
- Attend and participate in all project meetings and company training
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently working towards a Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Advertising, PR, Journalism or other related field of study
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills
- Exceptional organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
- Extreme attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop
- Wordplus experience is a plus
- Social media experience is preferred
