Entry Level Payroll Analyst Troy, MI $17/hr Monday - Friday; 40 hours a week Are you a recent graduate or generally just looking to grow your skills? Join the Kelly Services team! We are currently hiring internally for a Garnishment Analyst on the Payroll team, which training will be provided for. The role is a long term contract, with many talent remaining for 2+ years. Daily Duties: * Review, analyze and track various court ordered garnishment types from multiple outside sources * Set up withholding order in the payroll system and file using a web-based tool * Properly interpret the various types of withholding orders, state rules and exemption guidelines to ensure the orders are set up in the payroll system accurately and timely for remittance within the established deadlines * Follow all federal/state regulations to determine priority * Accurately calculate employee disposable income amounts to determine withholding amount * Enter the garnishment deductions into 3rd party web-based systems * Research and respond to notices of intent to request a default judgement; returned documents and vendor/creditor inquiries * Communicate on a timely basis with various federal/state agencies, attorneys/creditors regarding starting, stopping, and modifying existing withholding orders Qualifications: * Excellent customer service experience * Intermediate MS Excel experience (you will be required to take an online Excel test) * Attention to detail and accuracy * Comfortable researching and resolving issues using internal systems * Work with the team to assist with other duties and chip in where needed * Prioritize tasks well Why Kelly ?
