As a Pension Administration Analyst, you will be making a valuable difference every day to our high-profile client organizations. In this role you will perform recurring plan administration services and work assignments for clients defined benefit plans with minimal supervision and will assist with project work and other ad hoc client support services as requested. Willis Towers Watson benefit consultants have deep experience working with organizations of all types and sizes. We ve worked closely with clients to develop some of the most advanced benefit design techniques currently in use. We combine expertise in retirement and investment consulting to support organizations worldwide in designing, managing, administering and communicating all types of retirement plans. The Role In this role you will perform recurring plan administration services and work assignments for clients defined benefit plans under the supervision of senior analysts and will assist with project work and other ad hoc client support services as requested. Responsibilities: Perform with guidance from other team members, routine and recurring plan administration tasks for clients defined benefit plans (e.g., benefit calculations, retiree and death admin processing, annual data updates, assist with preparation of benefit statements) Work cooperatively with other team members (Willis Towers Watson plan administrators, actuaries) to complete tasks and to ensure unified delivery of services Gain a thorough understanding of the plan design ( e.g., benefit formulas, options, eligibility) Follow and update documentation materials as directed Maintain complete and accurate work papers and audit trails Learn and use Professional Excellence tools and concepts to ensure efficient and quality output/service delivery Serve as a contact with clients human resources personnel Adhere to plan documents and government regulations in administering plans Actively participate in team meetings and training activities Be accountable to team members for agreements and commitments Demonstrate the following Seek out experiences that may change perspective or provide an opportunity to learn new things Ability to prioritize workload with help from project leaders Ability to effectively deliver on agreed upon deadlines Attention to detail Professional, client-focused approach to colleagues and assignments The Requirements Qualifications: Solid mathematical, analytic and personal computer skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word Strong oral and written communication skills Willing to work overtime as requested Bachelor s Degree required Pay rate for all workers should be around ***-***/hour and the max bill rate for this role should be in the *** - ***/hour range. Do not exceed this max bill rate of *** or your candidates will be rejected. Pay rate cannot be more than ***/hour as this role will likely convert and we don't want the contractors making more on the contract than they would convert at (around ***/hour). Potential Contract to Hire position. Usually the team will make a decision on conversion within the first 6 months, however sometimes it may take longer than expected as well. Please focus on candidates with strong mathematics/analytical backgrounds, whether it s through employment or education. Recent grads can work great if they have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. Hours for this role are 8:30am - 5:00pm [core hours are 9:00am-4:00pm]. 40 hour work weeks, OT depends on clients needs but not guaranteed. Bachelor's degree is required. Highly preferred if they have a degree in Mathematics degree or something analytical. Must be open and looking to get into a career with growth opportunities. Jump in and hit the ground running. Independent role. Will have assistance during training but must be a self-starter. Employment-based non-immigrant visa sponsorship and/or assistance is not offered for this specific job opportunity. Additional detail from the manager: I tend to stay away from those that have too much tech skills/certifications as these folks tend to want to work on systems instead of calculations. I also shy away from those that have mainly HR experience in areas such as recruiting, onboarding, employment, labor relations, as these folks typically don t do well with the being strictly in narrow benefits related position (and usually like the social component of the work). There are some folks that have too much heavy duty math degrees/skills/certifications that tend to get bored with the position really quickly. I think the sweet spot is relatively new grads with a math related degree that have some experience in a corporate setting. There will be little to no client contact. If there is it would be through our internal case management system (like email). Each client team that they would be assigned to would have performance metrics that candidates would be judged on quality and efficiency of work being the biggest ones. The manager has given me some additional feedback in regard to what they looking for, and not looking for with the degree... Straight Mathematics degree - These folks tend to be better suited for physics and engineering type roles. Not a great fit for this role. Actuarial math - perfect when candidate does not want to take actuarial exams and doesn t know where else to use these skills. Statistics/economics/business majors also do very well in a variety of different roles in the Pension Analyst Groups. The following Pension Analyst Pre-Screen is required for all submittals.
