GENERAL SUMMARY As an established and respected organization, the DIA is an excellent place for interns to explore interests in museums and non-profits. Beyond learning about the art collections, interns are able to contribute to everything that helps the museum run smoothly. Interns will work under the guidance and supervision of a DIA professional on a specific project with established learning outcomes. The Human Resources intern will learn the basics of HR operations in a museum environment . Projects will involve working on recruitment and hiring processes, operations tasks, COVID management protocols, HR projec ts and initiatives , and learning about operational duties such as filing, compliance, and administrative support. Tasks will include:+ Scheduling interviews with candidates+ Conducting telephone prescreens for front line positions.+ Conducting COVID-19 contact tracing interviews+ Maintaining COVID -19 Vaccine Log+ maintenance project+ Administrative tasks and engagement with Employee Engagement Committee+ Filing and paper employee file management projects+ Assisting with learning and development projects and priorities.+ Assisting with Inclusion Diversity Equity and Access projects and priorities.+ Other Administrative Tasks QUALIFICATIONS Successful candidates should have a background in one of the following areas of study?or a related field?at an undergraduate level at an accredited university :+ Human Resources+ Organizational Development+ Organizational Psychology+ Business Administration Proficiency in latest version of Office 365, including SharePoint, Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Excel is required. This internship is an onsite opportunity. Preference for one five-hour day per week on a Saturday or Sunday.
