Moo Cluck Moo offers food options at the Loft

Since opening in Dearborn in April 2013, Moo Cluck Moo has been serving fresh food and taking healthy eating to a new level.

Last week, the eatery became the latest “pop up” restaurant to appear at the Loft in the Student Center.

“I have two daughters, and they are the reason I created Moo Cluck Moo,” said co-founder Brian Parker.

The idea was to bring the concept of healthy, affordable and accessible fast food to busy people, he said.

“Our salads are made fresh daily and all our meat is Halal,” Parker added. “Our burgers are fresh and never frozen, and our lamb burgers are to die for.”

University of Detroit Mercy students and soccer team members Suzie Reddick and Kaitlan Vossen are both health-conscious athletes.

They said they saw the menu, were impressed and wanted to try it.

Aidan, a Moo Cluck Moo employee who works at both the Dearborn and Canton locations, noted, “Our restaurant coming to the University of Detroit Mercy is the first time we did anything like this. I am excited to be here.”

She recommended the “Notorious Cluck.”

“It’s a little spicy, but it is very good,” she said.

Parker said that the quick turnover with food allows it be fresh.

“We’re always in a position to serve food fresh,” he said. “We offer a monthly rotating menu called the ‘crave-able menu’ which is a derivative of the menu done on a monthly basis.”

Parker was happy with his Loft experiment Feb. 18.

He said he is “looking forward to a successful partnership.”
