Trying to find ways to get out of your winter blues?

There are many ways to escape the bitter cold – from indulging in a book to hanging out with friends.

You could also listen to some mood-boosting music, perhaps by going to a concert featuring your favorite artist.

The month of March sees a full entourage of entertainers coming to metro Detroit.

Here are ten acts worth your consideration:

Michael Bublé

Friday, March 1, 8 p.m. / Little Caesars Arena

The soulful jazz singer and Grammy Award winner brings his distinctive style to town. There will be no opening act, so you will get Mr. Bublé all to yourself (with thousands of others). “An Evening with Michael Bublé” could be a great start to March – and an early launch for your spring break.

 

James Blake

Saturday, March 2, 7 p.m. / Royal Oak Music Theatre

The talented English singer and songwriter from London has already performed with many favorites. Among his collaborators have been Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé, Frank Ocean and Vince Staples. Tickets start at $59.

 

Mariah Carey

Friday, March 8, 8 p.m. / Fox Theatre

The five-time Grammy winner, Mariah Carey is known for her power and incredible vocal range. Expect a hit-filled concert, from “Emotions” to “Fantasy” and many others. The starting price for tickets is $78.

 

Meek Mill

Saturday, March 9, 8 p.m. / Fox Theatre

Mill has collaborated with many talented artists, including Niki Minaj. Tickets start at $102 and are selling quickly for the Philadelphia-raised rapper’s Motivation tour.

 

Vince Staples

Sunday, March 10, 7 p.m. / Royal Oak Music Theatre

Compton, California, rapper / producer Vince Staples brings his act to Royal Oak. At age 25, Staples has already worked with Mac Miller, Flume, A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar and more. General admission tickets are $44.

 

Mikael Temrowski

Saturday, March 15, 7 p.m. / Filmore

The Detroit singer Mikael Temrowski, whose stage name is Quinn XCII, is touring in support of his new release, “From Michigan With Love.” He began singing while attending Michigan State University. Tickets start at $79.

 

Scotty McCreery

Thursday, March 21, 6 p.m. / Filmore

The country singer Scotty McCreery debuted on American Idol, winning the tenth season. “Seasons Change,” his most recent album, hit number one on the country charts. Tickets prices start at $45.

 

Tee Grizzley

Saturday, March 23, 7 p.m. / Filmore

As of press time, fewer than 35 tickets remained for the Detroit rapper’s concert. Grizzley, born Terry Wallace Sanchez Jr., is 24. His debut album, “Activated,” came out last year. Tickets start at $69.

 

Justin Timberlake

Monday, March 25, 7:30 p.m. / Little Caesars Arena

Timberlake’s “Man of the Woods” tour is heavy with dance and romance. The talented R&B and pop singer is one of the hottest touring acts on the planet. “Man of the Woods,” his fifth studio album, hit number one on the Billboard charts last year.

 

Mumford & Sons

Wednesday, March 27, 7:30 p.m. / Little Caesars Arena

After a great start to their tour in Dublin, Mumford & Sons will perform in Detroit. Special guest Cat Powers will be opening the show. This is a 60-date tour. Tickets start at $44.50.
