Detroit Mercy swept the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons during a two-game series at Calihan Hall on Friday and Saturday.

The victories – 82-72 on Feb. 5 and 83-56 on Feb. 6 – extended the Titans’ winning streak to five games.

The Titans hope to build on their recent success in a two-game road series against the Cleveland State Vikings this weekend, Feb. 12-13, at Wolstein Center. Tip-off is at 7 p.m.

Against the Mastodons, coach Mike Davis’s Titans shot above 50 percent for this season's fifth straight game.

Named Horizon League Player of the Week, junior Antoine Davis continued his streak of scoring at least 24 points for his eighth game in a row, securing his number two spot in scoring in the league and 115th in the nation.

On Saturday, senior Matt Johnson contributed 24 points and recovered six rebounds.

Despite being just a little more than 150 miles apart, the Titans and Mastodons have met only a few times, with the Mastodons taking both previous matchups in 2016 and 2017.

Bul Kuol (10), a transfer from Australia, pulls down a rebound.
