REVIEW: TMNT brings family fun
A classic 80’s film returned to the big screen this past summer. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem was released in theatres across the U.S on Aug. 2. This animated, recreated film shows four brothers who are mutants, living in the city of New York. They are all teenagers aiming for a more “normal” life.
The film was made to show bond between brothers as they fight to gain popularity, while saving the world. The young mutants spent many years being sheltered from the world, by their father was a rat. They decided to take a leap of faith and went to run the streets of New York, looking for crime!
While on their journey on becoming crime fighters they met a young, human girl named April O’Neil. They easily became a great clique. She decided to help them take on the mysterious crime-fighting spree they were on. They soon get a bit over their heads when they meet an entire army of mutants who want to end human lives.
When seeing the new remake of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I thought to myself, will this be better than the original? I would not say better, because nothing is ever better than the first of anything. But it does live up to the hype that has been steaming all over social media. The movies is a comedy, that is filled with family moments. It is truly an amazing film you would want your family to see for a nice movie night out!
