In a move that has outraged some UDM students, University Dining Services has begun enforcing meal-conversion limits at all cafés and cafeterias on campus. Students purchasing food from the Titan Dining Room, The Loft, Titan To-Go, Simply To-Go and Subway could have their transactions affected by a reduction in the number of allowable meal conversions.
Former UDM student returns as MSU professor to share experience as migrant farmworker
A former UDM student who became a professor after working as a migrant farmworker and activist will discuss her experiences on Friday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m. in the Fountain Lounge. Dr. Estrella Torrez will give a lecture titled "Testimonios of Migrants, Chicana Studies and Indigenous Youth Empowerment.

Freshman guard says he has learned from mistake
Four months after his arrest in Ann Arbor, freshman P.J. Boutte is ready to put the event behind him. Boutte was sentenced Wednesday, Feb. 8, to one year of probation for possessing a stun gun and alcohol in an Oct. 9 arrest in Ann Arbor. In addition, the UDM freshman will pay a combined $1,247 in costs and fines.
