A Christmas-time classic with a twist is coming to UDM’s campus.
A production of “It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” by Joe Landry is being put on by the UDM Theatre Company.
The production tells the tale of George Bailey made famous by Frank Capra’s 1946 film “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
“You’ve seen the movie, now experience ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ in a different way,” said director David Regal. “It’s a unique presentation of this traditional Christmas story, set as a 1940s radio drama and complete with holiday spirit.”
The play, which opens on Dec. 5 at the Grounds Coffehaus, features faculty members Dr. Arthur J. Beer and Dr. Heather Hill-Vasquez and UDM students Ashe Lewis and Gineara Hannah.
In total, seven actors will bring over 55 characters to life.
Individual tickets are now on sale and can be purchased and printed online at www.UDMarts.com.
Admission for UDM and Marygrove students with ID is $5.
Tickets for others range from $17 to $20.
Performances will be at 8 p.m. on Dec. 5-7. There also will be a 2 p.m. performance on Dec. 7.
