A lifelong love of literature led me to specialize in English as an undergraduate at UNC-Chapel Hill and in graduate school at the University of Michigan. My area of specialization was Shakespeare and English Renaissance Drama.

As a graduate student at U-M, I served as a grader for one year and taught independent sections of Composition and Literature for five years. I thoroughly understand college standards for writing and am well able to teach them.
