Grateful to be alive and for my family

Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful and give thanks after every- thing we’ve endured throughout the year.

Most spend the holiday with their loved ones, while some spend it by themselves.

Giving thanks for life, health and strength is just the basics. When you consider the past two or three years, many of us have so much more to be thankful for.

We’ve endured a once-in-a-century pandemic, and have more recently had to deal with inflation, affecting everything from gas and food prices to rent, all while income seems to be falling.

Many are blessed to still be alive despite COVID-19 as well as other diseases.

Moneypox came and went earlier this year, although it didn’t turn into the full-blown crisis many were expecting.

I personally am thankful to just be alive, honestly. I am so excited for Thanksgiving because I also have a chance to spend time with my family.

Spending time with family is always the greatest gift of all.
